I hope you all remembered to call your Mom, yesterday, though a hug would have been best!

We went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and Nancy and I each bought one of these necklace pendants.  Mine is made from an old Hamilton watch!  It’s going to be fun to wear it!

In the meantime, I need some aloe vera on my sunburn!  Ouch!

Ryan’s mom arrived this afternoon, and after a hot and spicy meal at Tofu Ya, we went to downtown LA for these sweet macaroons!  If you haven’t already been to Bottega Louie, you should definitely go there, if only for these delicious treats!

What’s your favorite dessert?

We had a few hours to kill before our flight out of Miami, so we drove to the Everglades.

We couldn’t see much along the way, besides marsh birds, but we stopped at this BBQ place outside the main entrance to the Everglades, and it was FANTASTIC!!!!

Perhaps the best meal we had in Florida!!

To celebrate another great time at ARVO, Dr. Craft took us to the Crab House in Fort Lauderdale.

Janise and I had a fun and interesting time trying to eat our crabs!

The view from our table was stunning.  We could see lightening in those clouds off in the distance.

I’m going to miss the warm ocean water in Florida, but I’m ready to have completely dry hair again (darn humidity!).
